Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce details on the 2023 Manitoba Provincial Team Identification Camp for the upcoming summer. The Identification Camp will occur on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Vincent Massey High School for males (715 McDiarmid Dr. Brandon, MB) and Neelin High School for females (1020 Brandon Ave, Brandon, MB).

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Brandon Identification Camps are not the formal tryouts for the Manitoba Provincial Team program, but an identification camp opportunity for athletes living anywhere in Manitoba.  The ID Camps are being offered to provide athletes additional consideration from the Provincial Team Coaches who will be present in Brandon for the day.  The formal Manitoba Provincial Team Tryouts will occur on May 12-14, 2023, at the Sport Manitoba Courts in Winnipeg.  The May Tryouts are still open to any Manitoba resident to attend who meets the defined ages.  The Provincial Team Tryout details will be announced in early spring.

The ages for the teams will be 17U (born in 2006 or later) and 15U (born in 2008 or later) at both the male and female levels. Details on the Manitoba Provincial Team coaching staff can be found HERE.

The Canada Basketball 15U & 17U National Championships will run July 31-August 5, 2023 and feature teams representing each of the ten provinces across Canada.  The 15U and 17U boys' competitions will be held in Sherbrooke, QC, while the 15U and 17U girls' tournaments will be hosted in Calgary, AB.

The teams will be selected from the open tryouts in May, and any Manitoba resident who is in one of the defined age categories is eligible and welcome to try out.
