1. What basketball program is suitable for my child?
Basketball opportunities are available for a wide range of ages, abilities and experience levels. The best fit will depend on the player’s age, location and whether they are interested in recreational league play, skill development or competitive club basketball.

Registration dates and availability vary by program. If a deadline has recently passed, space or a waitlist may still be available. Please check the program’s information page and contact the listed organizer directly for the most current registration status.

Camp announcements include the applicable dates, locations, age groups, fees and registration instructions. Some camps are operated by Basketball Manitoba, while others are offered by member organizations, clubs, schools or community partners.

Provincial Team information is published before each season and includes tryout dates, eligible age groups, residency requirements, program fees and registration instructions. Players must complete the applicable online registration before participating.

Tournament schedules are released after registrations, payments and division sizes have been confirmed. Teams placed on a waitlist should follow the payment instructions provided by Basketball Manitoba and wait for confirmation before submitting payment unless advised otherwise.

Insurance may be available for registered teams, leagues, clubs, camps and other organized basketball activities. Coverage requirements, fees and roster limits depend on the type and duration of the activity.

New and experienced officials are welcome. The Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials offers development pathways for junior and adult referees, including training clinics, certification and opportunities to officiate games. Officials arriving from another province or country can also receive guidance on recognizing previous experience.

Streaming information is normally included in the applicable game or tournament announcement. Schools, clubs and community organizations may also apply to join the LiveBasketball.ca network and stream eligible games through their own YouTube channels.

The organization hosting the tournament manages its registration, division changes, schedules, payments and refund decisions. Basketball Manitoba is happy to help identify the appropriate organizer, but changes must be completed directly with the host organization.

Most online forms send an automatic confirmation email after a successful submission. Please check your inbox and junk or spam folder. If you cannot locate the confirmation, contact Basketball Manitoba with the participant’s or applicant’s name, and we can help verify whether the submission was received.
