The Winnipeg Athletic Association for Youth basketball league will be wrapping its season up this Sunday at Tec Voc High School   Come and support the Finals on March 15 with the 3rd place games starting at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The final games and closing ceremonies can start as early as 4:00 pm with all players being requested to be there for the awards ceremony and all the closing festivities.  All family members, friends, current and past players are invited to attend.

The Winnipeg Athletic Association for Youth (WAAY) basketball program has announced it will be accepting registration for its fall / winter league on Sunday August 24, September 7 & 14 at Garden City Shopping Centre in Winnipeg.  The league fee is set at $140 per player.  Full information can be found on the WAAY website at http://www.waaybasketball.ca

The Winnipeg Athletic Association for Youth (WAAY) have announced that all admission fees and proceeds from 50/50 draw this Sunday November 17, 2013 will be donated to the Red Cross Donate to the Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda fund for our family and friends that are affected by the storm.  Additional individual donations will also be accepted.  Please spread the word and get your families and friends to come this Sunday to enjoy some basketball and donate.

Submitted by Arsenio dela Cruz: Over the Labour Day long weekend, Vaughan Ontario played host to the 8th annual Filipino Basketball Association of North America tournament. 105 teams from across the US and Canada competed in 12 different division for basketball glory. Of these 12 divisions, this years tournament introduced the newly formed Bantam Girls 14U division.  FBA Team Winnipeg brought 11teams to the annual tournament and battled for bragging rights and a chance of taking home the gold.

Registration for the 2010/11 Winnipeg Athletic Association for Youth season will be on Sunday August 15th and 29th, 2010 at the PCCM on Keewatin. Registration will take place from 1-5pm. The cost to join WAAY will be $100 total on the 15th and 29th. This will include registration fees, jersey and shorts, a team practice gym, and an exciting season of winter basketball.  Late registration with penalty will be available on Sunday, September 12th & 19th from 1-5pm at the PCCM. Late registration fee will be $120.

The Filipino Basketball Association - Winnipeg have announced details on an upcoming fundraising evening on April 26 and an open basketball tournament on May 23-24 at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre.  These initiatives are being run to raise funds for the FBA's hosting of the North American Championships this Labour Day Weekend in Winnipeg.  For details...
