The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced they are hosting a number of open Drop-In Basketball nights at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre in August. In partnership with Sport Manitoba, the first open night is Wednesday August 1 from 6:30 - 9:00 pm and is FREE! Additional dates will see a $5.00 drop in fee.
The Canada Games Sport for Life Centre is located at 145 Pacific Ave in Winnipeg and features 3 full sized hardwood FIBA regulation basketball courts with 14 square glass backboards (see below picture). Free street parking is available in the area after 5:30 pm and the underground parkade costs $2 for the first hour and $1 for each additional 30 minutes (to a maximum of $15 a day).
