Basketball Manitoba has announced that it is now accepting coaching applications for the 2018-19 Center For Performance (CP) Program for the 17U and 15U female and 15U male program.  Deadline for all coaching applications is Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm.




  1. Both the female and male programs are looking for a PERFORMANCE ANALYST / ASSISTANT COACH who is a capable on court coach and excellent with video and media.  The successful coach will be proficient in filming and editing as well as leading film sessions with the athletes and supporting the head coach with film edits and material for the athletes enhanced learning.  The successful coach will also be a talented on court coach, capable of leading practice sections in concepts, tactics, and skill development.
  2. Both the female and male programs are looking to increase the depth of their coaching pool.  Coaches interested in becoming involved in the CP program are encouraged to submit resumes for immediate or future consideration.

The female program is a full season training and competition model that runs September to May and operates 4 teams with athletes between the ages of 12-18 and is lead by Basketball Manitoba High Performance Coach Randy Kusano.

The male program is a skill development program that runs September to December and looks to develop elite basketball prospects currently in grades 7, 8 & 9.  The male program is lead by Basketball Manitoba High Performance Coach Dan Becker.

Application for Competition
Please submit a cover letter and coaching resume by Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm by completing the below application form.  A good coaching resume should include your previous coaching experience, your work experience and education.

Honorarium
Successful applicants are eligible to receive an honorarium at the completion of the program.

Other Notes
  • All selected coaches must complete the new Sport Manitoba Respect in Sport online program by May 1.  
  • All selected coaches will be undergo a Canadian Police Records Check as part of the hiring process.
  • Basketball Manitoba will provide the successful coaches in the program with the required levels of NCCP certification as needed to meet the Canada Basketball requirements.  More at http://nccp.basketballmanitoba.ca.
