This Golden (or brown and golden) Era of Bison basketball has a rich tradition of excellence including one CIAU National Championship, two national finalists, many All-Canadians, Olympians, CIAU Player of the Year awards, Pan-Am Games participants, many All-Conference selections, National Team players, a two-time national Coach of the Year, and many members of our Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame, our Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and our Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame. This record of achievement is unparalleled in Manitoba and, possibly, in Canada.
Please see attached a copy of the agenda for the weekend. One very special additional event will be the presentation of the first Jack A. Lewis Basketball Scholarship and the unveiling of a plaque commemorating Coach Lewis’ many contributions to our basketball community.

3. Look around and see if you have any Bison Basketball memorabilia. We intend to have a large collection of materials (clippings, pictures, programs, uniforms, trophies, etc.), which represent all eras, on display at the reunion. You can bring it with you or ship it earlier if that is more convenient (to Ross Wedlake at address below).

We have done our best to keep the costs reasonable for everyone. The cost per Registrant is set at $150.00 for all activities – the cocktail reception, banquet, shoot-a-round, lunch, mementos, and some special surprises (excludes golf and the football game), and $50.00 for each guest. The guest fee covers the Friday night reception and the Saturday night banquet only.

In regards to Bisons coming from out-of-town, you can make arrangements with former team mates or contact the Canad Inn Hotel on Pembina Highway (204-261-7450). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it promises to be something we will all cherish for years to come. It is our hope that you will attend. We have already heard from many people and the excitement is building.
