Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Jordan Tully, Robyn Boulanger & Victoria Zuke have each been named a recipient of the Sport Manitoba 'Women to Watch' athlete & coach grant!  

Jordan is a member of the Manitoba Provincial Team who led Manitoba to its first Gold Medal in 25 years at the National Championships in July.  In recognition for an outstanding summer, she was named the national tournament MVP.  Last month, Jordan committed to the NCAA Division 1 program at Boise State University.  She is currently entering her final high school season with the Oak Park Raiders.  

Robyn is a 15 year old basketball player from Berens River. Robyn plays for the University of Winnipeg Collegiate and Anishinabe Pride. Robyn was part of the provincial team program attending Nationals and Team Manitoba that participated in NAIG 2011 and 2014. Robyn was granted the opportunity to travel to Japan this summer, to further her basketball development.

Victoria is a school and club coach and just recently coordinated the PGC basketball camp that occurred at Glenlawn Collegiate in November.  She is the current head coach and founder of the Manitoba Spartans Girls 17 and under team and current assistant coach of the Westwood Warriors Varsity Girls.  She has coached inner city athletes and participated as a coach in a grassroots basketball program for grades 2-6 for the past two years called the Mini Warriors along with coaching in the Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program for two years.

Past basketball recipients of this award include Kerilynn MacLennan, Atoosa Jalayeri, Jasmine & Sara Ibrahim, Kerri Kuzbyt, Emily Potter, Brittany Wiebe, Danielle Baril, Adele Baril, Morgan Cross, Danielle DeGagne and Krystal Schouten. 



ImageWorking in partnership with Provincial Sport Organizations and Coaching Manitoba, Sport Manitoba provides a monthly grant of $500 to a female athlete, team, official or volunteer to assist them in enhancing their women in sport career.  A $500 monthly grant is awarded to a female coach to assist them in further developing the skills necessary to attain a higher level of coaching or increased level of coaching experience.
