Raizel Guinto is a skilled and seasoned guard known for her leadership, competitive toughness, and offensive versatility. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, she built a name for herself early in her career at Sisler High School, where she led the Spartans to back-to-back provincial championships and cemented her status as one of the most impactful players ever developed in the province.

Her success at the high school level earned her a spot at NCAA Division I Louisiana Tech University, where she spent four seasons competing in Conference USA. During her time with the Lady Techsters, Guinto averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, while maintaining a three-point shooting percentage of over 35%. She played a key role in her junior and senior seasons - earning Conference USA Sixth Player of the Year honours in 2019-20 and starting every game as a senior in 2020-21.

Following her NCAA career, Guinto returned home to Winnipeg and embraced a new chapter in life, with her connection to the game remaining strong. Reigniting her playing career, she joined the University of Winnipeg Wesmen for the 2022-23 season, utilizing her final year of eligibility to compete for her hometown program under head coach Alyssa Cox. Her return to the Wesmen also marked a special opportunity to play alongside her younger sister, Raia, another Sisler standout.

Guinto's journey, spanning high-level competition, personal growth, and a return to her roots, has made her a respected figure in Manitoba's basketball community. Her experiences in the NCAA and U SPORTS ranks have equipped her with a deep understanding of the game and the demands of elite competition.

Now transitioning from player to mentor, Raizel is taking her passion for basketball into a new phase - coaching and inspiring the next generation of young players in Manitoba. Her focus has shifted to developing future talent, using her lived experience to guide others on and off the court.
