The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) has announced that its 2026 Spring League Playoffs, with hundreds of young athletes set to compete for division championships across multiple age groups beginning this weekend.
The annual playoff weekend marks the culmination of the WMBA Spring League season and will feature teams from across the greater Winnipeg area competing in divisions ranging from ages 11 through 18.
Playoff action will begin on Saturday with the 11 to 13 age divisions before continuing on Sunday with the 14 to 18 age divisions.
The WMBA is reminding all players, coaches, parents, and spectators that playoff basketball should remain a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. To help ensure a safe and respectful environment throughout the weekend, WMBA staff and Board members will be present at facilities and games to support participants and monitor conduct.
Saturday’s playoff schedule will feature the following divisions:
• 11 Boys Black
• 11 Boys Silver
• 11-12 Girls Black
• 11-12 Girls Silver
• 11-12 Girls White
• 12 Boys Black
• 12 Boys Silver
• 12 Boys White
• 13 Boys Black
• 13 Boys Silver
• 13 Boys White
Sunday’s playoff schedule will feature:

• 13-14 Girls Silver
• 13-14 Girls Blue
• 14 Boys Black
• 14 Boys Silver
• 14 Boys White
• 15 Boys Black
• 15 Boys White
• 15 Boys Blue
• 15-18 Girls Black
• 15-18 Girls Silver
• 15-18 Girls Blue
• 16-18 Boys Black
• 16-18 Boys Silver
• 16-18 Boys White
• 16-18 Boys Orange
Participants are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled game times to assist with tournament operations and game scheduling.
Playoff brackets will be updated throughout each day as results are reported and championship matchups are determined.
The WMBA Spring League continues to be one of Manitoba’s largest youth basketball programs, providing opportunities for thousands of young athletes each year to learn, compete, and develop through organized basketball competition.
