Crossover Basketball Club has announced the return of its Summer Training Program for 2026, providing athletes with an opportunity to continue developing their basketball skills through an intensive training environment focused on skill development, athletic performance, tactical understanding, and game application.
The program will take place at the Richardson Athletic Centre located within Balmoral Hall School at 630 Westminster Avenue and is open to boys and girls born between 2009 and 2016.
Designed for athletes seeking to improve their game during the off-season, the program combines basketball-specific skill development with athletic training, conditioning, and tactical instruction delivered by experienced coaches and guest instructors.
Participants will train three times per week over a two-week period, with sessions scheduled as follows:
Monday, July 6 and Monday, July 13, 2026
Wednesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 15, 2026
Thursday, July 9 and Thursday, July 16, 2026
Athletes will be divided into two age groups:
• Middle School Division (Born 2012-2016)
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• High School Division (Born 2009-2012)
8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Summer Training Program will feature instruction in several key performance areas, including:
• Strength and conditioning
• Individual skill development
• Team concepts and execution
• Tactical training and game theory
• Footwork development
• Athletic movement and coordination
• Competitive game situations
• Basketball decision-making and IQ
Athletes will train under the guidance of Crossover Basketball Club’s coaching staff, with additional instruction provided by Red River Rebels Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ricardo Martinez and a number of guest coaches.
Organizers note that the program is designed to challenge athletes while maintaining a positive, energetic, and supportive environment that promotes growth and confidence both on and off the court.
Registration options include:
• Full Two-Week Program – $200
• One-Week Option – $150
The program is fully insured through Basketball Manitoba’s sanctioned camp insurance program.
With limited spots available, athletes and families are encouraged to register early.
