The University of Manitoba Bisons women’s basketball team has announced the signing of Winnipeg guard Kiley Schettler as the program’s second commitment in its 2026 recruiting class.
Schettler joins the Bisons following a strong high school career with Garden City Collegiate, where she developed into a consistent contributor and continued to elevate her game each season. Her addition gives the Bisons another perimeter option as the program continues to build its future roster.
Bisons head coach Michele Sung said Schettler’s steady growth and versatility made her a strong fit for the program.
“Kiley is coming off a phenomenal high school career where she has improved every year and found a way to contribute on any team she was on,” said Sung. “She adds depth to our perimeter play and is a great on-ball defender.”
Schettler said she is thankful to the people who helped her reach this next step in her basketball journey.
“I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping me get to this point,” said Schettler. “I am looking forward to continuing my basketball journey with the Bisons.”
The signing marks another addition for the Bisons as the program continues to shape its 2026 recruiting class and strengthen its backcourt depth for the years ahead.
