Basketball Manitoba is very pleased to announce its Provincial Team Program coaching lineup at the 17U and 15U levels for the summer of 2026.  This summer, the program will feature a total of 6 teams at the male & female 17U, 15U and 14U levels.  The head coaches of the teams (and pictured in the order above from left to right) are Dan Becker (17UM), Eric Sung (17UF), Patrick Mart (15UM) and Kelli Sinnock (15UF), Steven Wesley (14UM) and Victor Lee (14UF).

All team tryouts are scheduled for May 8-10, 2026, at the Sport Manitoba Courts.  Details will be announced later this winter.

Dates: August 3-8, 2026 (travel days Aug 2 & Aug 9)

Program: 17U &15U Female
Event: 2026 Canada Basketball National Championship 
Location: Sherbrooke, Quebec
Dates: August 3-8, 2026 (travel days Aug 2 & Aug 9)

Continuing for 2026, a 14U Male and Female Developmental Provincial Team will be offered with similar timelines to the 15U and 17U.  Additional details on all programs will be announced in the near future.  


Basketball Manitoba coordinates provincial teams for male and female athletes in the 17U, 15U and 14U age categories each spring and summer.  All ages are based on December 31 of the year the tryouts occur.  

The teams will be selected from open tryouts May 8-10, 2026, at Sport Manitoba. Any Manitoba resident in one of the defined age categories is eligible and welcome to try out. Once the teams are chosen, they will train through June and July and participate in their respective national championship.
