BTBD Hoops has announced a free Christmas basketball skills camp for high school athletes, combining on-court development with a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community during the holiday season.

The Harvest Skills Camp will take place on Thursday, December 18 at R.B. Russell School and is open to high school girls and boys. The session is designed to provide focused skill development in a positive, high-energy environment while encouraging athletes to support those in need through a community food drive.

High school girls will take the floor from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm, followed by high school boys from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Athletes are asked to bring their own basketball. There is no registration fee, but spots are limited.

In partnership with Harvest Manitoba, participants are encouraged to bring canned food donations. Priority items include canned fruit, canned soup or stew, canned tuna, canned vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, peanut butter, baby formula or food, and instant oatmeal. These donations will help support families and individuals across Manitoba during the holiday season.

This initiative reflects the belief that basketball can be a tool for more than just athletic development. By pairing a free skills camp with a food drive, BTBD Hoops continues to emphasize responsibility, leadership, and community impact alongside player growth.

Athletes interested in attending are encouraged to direct message BTBD Hoops to secure a spot.
