The organizers of the Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational have announced details for the 2025 edition of the tournament, set for Thursday, December 11 to Saturday, December 13, 2025. The annual event remains one of the largest and most competitive high school basketball tournaments in Manitoba, featuring 32 Varsity Boys teams from across the Prairies.
Games will take place across four Brandon locations:
- Vincent Massey High School
- Neelin High School
- Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School
- Brandon University Healthy Living Centre
Teams are guaranteed a minimum of five games, beginning with round-robin play on Thursday and Friday, followed by full divisional playoff brackets on Saturday. All games will be played under FIBA/MHSAA rules with 10-minute quarters, a 24-second shot clock, a bonus on the fifth foul of each quarter, and an eight-minute halftime.
All tournament games will be live-streamed by Red River Streams.

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW
- Round Robin – Thursday, December 11 & Friday, December 12
- Games begin Thursday afternoon and continue throughout Friday at all four sites.
- Playoff Day – Saturday, December 13
All 32 teams advance to divisional playoff brackets with games beginning at 8:00 a.m. and running through to the evening finals.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Paid parking is in effect at Brandon University Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Exams will be in progress in the Henry Champ Gym; teams and spectators must respect all quiet zones and posted notices.
