Basketball Manitoba is very pleased to announce the hiring of Tiara Licsi as its new Program Coordinator!  She will replace Tiffany Peape, who left the organization earlier this month for a new opportunity.

Tiara is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation Management (Honours and Academic All-Canadian) and has been working in the sport administration field for the last 3 years.

Many in the basketball community will know of Tiara as a 5-year college/university basketball player both with Canadian Mennonite University and the University of Manitoba Bisons.  She was also a member of the Manitoba Provincial Team program for 3 years (2011-2013) and was named to the 2013 All-Manitoba Team in her grade 12 year at Sisler High School.  She has coached at the club basketball level, most recently with the Junior Bison girls program.

Tiara commented, "“Having played basketball since I was a little kid, I am so excited to be a part of Basketball Manitoba. With my experience as a player, coach and program coordinator, I think this opportunity will be a great fit! I look forward to working with the organization and everyone within the basketball community."

In this position, she will assist in the planning, developing and managing all aspects of the coach and referee certification & education programs, elite programming, provincial championships, special events, youth programming, financial management and office management.

Tiara will officially begin at Basketball Manitoba on Monday, December 5, 2022, and can be reached at tiara@basketballmanitoba.ca or 204-925-5775 ext 1 after that point.
