Through 2015-17, Evan additionally worked as an assistant coach with the Sturgeon Heights varsity girls' team and became the head coach in 2018. In two seasons as the girl’s head coach, the team has made the AAAA Provincial Final Four in both years and the Provincial Finals in 2019.
Evan received the MHSAA JV Boys ‘AAAA’ Coach of the Year award in 2016 and 2018 and the 2018 MHSAA High School Male High School Coach of the Year award.
Evan was the assistant coach with the 17U Female Provincial Team in 2021 and again in 2022 at the Canada Summer Games at the 18U level. He is also currently serving as an assistant coach with the University of Winnipeg.
