Canada Basketball has announced that 28 coaches, technical leaders, and performances analysts from across the country will participate in the 3rd annual women's high performance technical summit at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ont. from December 8th-10th. Joining the summit from Manitoba will be Michele Hynes and Dan Becker. The summit, which takes place in advance of the women's national age-group assessment camp (Dec 11th-15th), provides coaches and technical leaders from all stages of development the opportunity to share best practices. The objective of the three-day summit is to grow the depth and scope of the women's national coaching pool and provide training on international basketball and long-term athlete development.
The summit also provides a platform to introduce new concepts and technology to the program, as well as the opportunity to further integrate performance analysis into coaching.
Technical directors and provincial representatives will also attend the summit, helping to further grow the Canadian style of play throughout the country's Podium Pathway.
