Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that the the TD Canada Trust located at the Tyndall Market Shopping Centre located at the corner of Keewatin and Burrows in Winnipeg has made a generous donation of $1000 to the '100 Basketballs' project!  Pictured to the left is Basketball Manitoba's Adam Wedlake, Lenard Monkman and Glen Ominski of TD Canada Trust.

The 100 Basketballs project was spearheaded last spring by Lenard with the goal to obtain basketballs, funding and awareness of the sport in Winnipeg's north end.

The inaugural event in May featured a celebrity basketball game featuring the Winnipeg Police Service and Police Chief Devon Clunis and MLA Kevin Chief playing a group of local basketball players.

The second annual event is in its early planning stages and is targeting the Point Douglas area and Norquay Community Centre and their recent build of a new outdoor basketball court.

This support from TD Canada Trust will help get more young people engaged in the sport of basketball by breaking down both financial and social barriers.

THANK YOU TD CANADA TRUST!
