Basketball Manitoba is very pleased to announce its Provincial Team Program coaching line up for the summers of 2014.  This summer, the program will feature a total of 6 teams including the male & female 17U, 16U and 15U teams.  The head coaches of the 6 programs are Dan Becker and Tanya MacKay at the 17U level, Jeremy Martin and Mitch Catacun at the 16U level and Eric Sung and Amey Ogidan at 15U.  Tryouts for the teams will take place on May 23-25, 2014 at the University of Winnipeg with all the programs representing Manitoba at the Canada Basketball National Championships in Edmonton, Alberta this July.  Full biographies on each coach plus the assistant coach line-ups are...


Each spring, Basketball Manitoba coordinates provincial teams at the 17U, 16U and 15U age categories for both male and female athletes.  All ages are based on December 31 of the year the tryouts occur.

The teams will be selected from open tryouts May 23-25 and May 30 - June 1, 2014 at the University of Winnipeg and any Manitoba resident who is in one defined age categories is eligible and welcome to tryout. Once the teams are chosen, they train and compete together through June and July and participate in their respective National Basketball Championships from July 25-30 in Edmonton.
