Due to a lack of local support PHASE 1’s National Girls Elite1 Camp July 11-15 in Winnipeg has been cancelled. PHASE1 will be rescheduling the event in a different city and any athletes currently registered will be refunded any camp fees paid and contacted with the new details on the camp.

The NGE1 Camp is for experienced female players from ages 12 (born 1999) to 17 (born 1994) years old who are serious about improving their basketball skills. This camp is for those players who think they may want to play college/university basketball and want an enjoyable experience in developing the skills that will be necessary. The camp emphasizes:
 
Individual skill development;
Athletic Development and Sports Injury Prevention Training;
 
Individual skill development provides a 6 to 1 player to coach ratio and is based on the PHASE1 training system.  The coaches for this camp consist of former and current professional players from the NBA, WNBA, European league and North American college and universities. Many of these coaches will impart the same PHASE 1 techniques from which theyhave benefitted to achieve their local and international success.  
 
Athletic Development and Sports Injury Prevention Training is conducted by Dr. Thomas Lam of FITS 
  • Each session is limited to 33 participants so register now!
  • Players are to attend ALL days of the camp (Total of 30 hours: 15 hours of court time and 15 hours of Athletic Development & Sports Injury Prevention Training)
  • Players are asked to show up 20 minutes prior to the first session to register.
  • Players are asked to come dressed ready to participate including non-marking runners, shorts (no pockets) and a t-shirt. It is also suggested players bring a water bottle and a towel.
  • Parking at Balmoral Hall is located at the main entrance on the North side of the school and on surrounding streets. Access to the gym is gained via the school's main entrance on the North side of the campus.

Accommodations (on campus):
Rooms are available for athletes in the residence of Balmoral Hall. Athletes will be supervised and monitored by the coaches of the NGE1 camp. Athletes from outside Winnipeg are encouraged to stay in the residences.

Cost: $300.00 for 6 nights, 5 days (Noon Sunday, July 10 –Noon Saturday, July 16)

 athletes must bring own sleeping bag (or bed sheets & blankets), towels and toiletries.

Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner):
Three meals per day will be available at set times for all athletes with a meal pass to eat together with coaches in the Dining Hall.
 
Week Pass: $145 (3 meals, 5 days)               Day Pass:$36 (3 meals, 1 day)
                                           Single Pass:$15 (1 meal)

Travel Credit
Athletes who reside outside of the province of Manitoba may be eligible for a travel credit of up to $150*.


*There are limited monies available for travel credit. Travel credits are allocated based on a formula that considers the athlete’s age and distance the athlete’s residence is from Winnipeg. The younger and further away the athlete the greater the likelihood of amaximum credit. Credits are only calculated after the session that the athlete has registered for is fully registered or on June 1, 2011, whichever comes first. Credits are allocated to each athlete according to the formula results until the credit funds are exhausted. Some athletes thatthe formula determined should receive a credit may not because the funds have been exhausted by the higher ranking applications accordingtothe formula results. Credits will be applied, in order of priority, to unpaid meal costs, unpaid accommodation cost and unpaid campcosts. Credits will be delivered by electronic refund to the account from which the online payment was made.
