Manitoba Invitational Tournament To Run August Long Weekend in Winnipeg

Basketball Manitoba is gearing up to host 12 other Provincial Juvenile (17U) basketball teams this August long weekend (July 31-Aug 2) in Winnipeg as a lead up to the Canada Summer Games later in August.  This marks the first time a warm-up event of this nature will be staged in Manitoba.  The male & female Pre-Nationals event will occur at Tec Voc High School and the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre in downtown Winnipeg and feature representation the following provincial teams...

Games will run all day Friday and Saturday and will wrap up by mid-day Sunday (July 31-Aug 2) with all games at Tec Voc and the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre.  All 14 teams will compete in the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Summerside, PEI August 15-21, 2009.

Come out and support Team Manitoba as we get ready for the Canada Games!  Tournament passes are only $5.00 and are available at the door.  The tournament schedule will be announced next week.  Follow all the game results on our main website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
