The CIS has announced that the men's basketball played at the university level in Canada will move to the FIBA (international) rules system effective the 2007-08 season.

The men's programs will take the FIBA system as is with no on-court modifications, namely using the 24 second shot clock and 8 second backcourt rules.

The men programs join the women's teams who moved the full FIBA this season.

Basketball Manitoba would like to hear from you with your thoughts on the movement to FIBA at the local level.  Read more in our recent news item 'National Move to FIBA Rules Considered for 2007-08 ' and place your vote in our web poll to the left of this page.
