Coaching Manitoba would like to offer the 'Analyze This' featuring 'Dartfish Technology to coaches in the basketball community...



 



ANALYZE THIS!  is a biomechanical analysis program designed to provide high performance coaches in Manitoba with the opportunity to access state of the art video recording equipment, software and computer programming.



Coaches can register to attend a FREE DARTFISH Technology Software Workshop to gain hands on experience and training.  Once the workshop is complete coaches will have access to Coaching Manitoba’s rental equipment; digital cameras; tripods, laptops and software.  Equipment is rented to the coach FREE OF CHARGE with a damage deposit.I have attached an information program sheet and would encourage you to pass this information onto your coaches.



Analyze This! is a Biomechanical Analysis Program designed to provide high performance coaches in Manitoba with the opportunity to access state of the art video recording equipment, software and computer programming. 



Level 2 of the Analyze This! program allows the coach to take the video recording equipment and software to the field of play to film, edit and analyze his/her athletes with the DARTFISH Technology software.  DARTFISH “experts” are available on a hire basis to assist coaches.  Attendance at the Coaching Manitoba DARTFISH Technology Software Workshop is required to gain access to Analyze This! Interested coaches are encouraged to attend a FREE 7 hour workshop where they will learn how to analyze athletes by inputting digital video footage into the DARTFISH Technology software and will then learn how to operate several of the analysis tools.



Instruction topics will include:           



  • Digital video filming techniques

  • Camera placement

  • Camera angles

  • Lighting

  • Use of tripods





DARTFISH Software analysis tools include:



  • Timing events (eg. batting swing)

  • Measuring movements (eg. step length)

  • Measuring velocity of movements (eg. ball speed)

  • Drawing tools

  • Video overlay (compare athletes to professional/elite athletes)

  • StroMotion software (view video footage frame-by-frame)





During the workshop, coaches will be given an opportunity to use the DARTFISH program and experiment with its many features and programs.
