    Winnipeg Community Sport Policy

Basketball Manitoba is proud to be one of the sports identified as one of the first sport partners in the Winnipeg Community Sport Policy.  A formal basketball committee was struck in January 2013 and meets quarterly with all the major stakeholders in the community to discuss and seek solutions to a number of common issues facing our growth and effectiveness in the community.

Members of the committee include representatives from...

“To achieve positive change among Manitoba’s population, communities, organizations and governments need to pool their commitment, leadership and resources. Sports, recreation, education, fitness and other organizations need to work together to identify and remove or minimize the barriers to participation.”
