As part of MABO’s ongoing commitment to provide the highest standard of education for its membership, all senior officials are required to complete the following two online courses through the Canada Basketball Locker system as part of their 2026-27 clinic obligations.  These online clinics are valid for 3 years, as determined by Canada Basketball, and do not need to be completed again until that time passes.
  • Anti-Racism in Coaching (60 min)
  • Safe Sport Training – Direct Athlete Contact (90 min)
These courses must be completed no later than December 11, 2026, and are available at no cost to all MABO members.

To complete the courses, you must create a free Locker account (if you don’t already have one) at: https://thelocker.coach.ca/account/login

The Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials is once again holding its 7th annual ‘Call A Foul on Cancer’ Pink Whistle campaign this February.  Participating MABO Officials will be wearing ‘Pink Whistles’ for the full month of February to show their support during all levels of basketball in the province.  We would love to surpass last year’s donations!

Please join the Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials (MABO) as we look to raise funds for the fight against cancer through the 7th Annual ‘Call A Foul On Cancer’ Pink Whistle Campaign in 2017 by asking you and your friends to consider a small donation to our cause.

The ‘Call A Foul On Cancer’ Pink Whistle Campaign strives to raise funds for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.  Participating MABO Officials will be wearing ‘Pink Whistles’ for the month of  February  to show their support during all levels of basketball in the province.

With your help and generosity, our donations through this campaign help fund cancer research, patient care, and treatments in Manitoba.  Each year, more and more Manitoba men, women, and children are winning their battles against the disease with the aid of CancerCare Manitoba oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, and allied health care workers.  Knowing that 1 in 3 Manitobans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, it’s distressing to think that the disease will most likely affect a loved one or close friend.  Together we can help Manitobans living with cancer and relieve the effects on those individuals and their families!

For those interested MABO officials, we are asking for a minimum donation of a full game fee  which includes your very own Fox40 Pink Whistle and lanyard.  Please contact your local assignor to donate and order your pink whistle now.  MABO has approved the use of the Pink Whistle during ALL games for the month of February.

If you’re not a MABO official, but would still like to donate, you may do so online on the CancerCare Manitoba website and clicking the ‘Donate Now’ button or call 204-784-2777 and indicate you are calling to make a donation to the Call a Foul on Cancer event.  Thank you for your support.

Canadian tax receipts will be issued in your name for all donations over $15.00.
