The EmpowerMen Project at Winnipeg’s Indigenous-led Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre will host Game Changers: Building a Better Sports Culture, a free public event on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, 85 Israel Asper Way, Winnipeg.

The evening will feature a screening of Code of Misconduct, a documentary directed by Sébastien Trahan examining misconduct and the culture surrounding Canadian hockey, followed by a panel discussion on accountability, respect, healthy masculinity, gender, inclusion and violence prevention in sport.

The event is open to the public, including coaches, officials, athletes, parents, volunteers, club representatives and sport leaders from basketball and other sports. Discussions will explore how people involved in sport can challenge harmful norms, support positive role modelling and help create safer, healthier and more inclusive environments, particularly for women and girls.
