The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) has opened registration for its 2026–27 Fall/Winter Skills Development Program. The progressive training series is designed to help young athletes build confidence, improve fundamentals and apply their skills in game situations. Sessions will be delivered by Manitoba skills coaches and current university athletes.

Participants can register for the nine-week fall session, running October 17–December 13, 2026; the nine-week winter session, running January 9–March 7, 2027; or the full 18-week program. Sessions are scheduled on the day WMBA players do not play league games.

Saturday sessions take place at Lindenwoods Community Centre or the MBCI Blue Gym, depending on the date. Sunday sessions take place at Lindenwoods Community Centre. The schedules below are tentative and subject to change.

At Lindenwoods on Saturdays, the girls ages 13–17 begin at 2:00 p.m., boys ages 14–15 at 3:00 p.m. and boys ages 16–17 at 4:00 p.m. At MBCI on Saturdays, those groups begin at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., respectively. Sunday sessions begin at 2:00 p.m. for co-ed ages 7–8, 3:00 p.m. for girls ages 9–12 and 4:00 p.m. for boys ages 9–13.

Registration for current WMBA players is $90 for either nine-week session or $160 for the full program. For non-WMBA players, the fees are $125 for either session or $230 for the full program. A $9 Canada Basketball fee also applies.
