Another Manitoba student-athlete is taking her game to the professional ranks as Brandon University Bobcats standout Piper Ingalls has signed her first professional basketball contract with the Dublin Lions Basketball Club in Ireland.
The signing marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Ingalls, who leaves Brandon University following one of the most decorated careers in recent Bobcats women’s basketball history.
A dynamic player known for her competitiveness, leadership, and all-around game, Ingalls capped her outstanding collegiate career by being named co-recipient of Brandon University’s Female Athlete of the Year Award for the 2025–26 academic year. The honour recognized not only her exceptional play on the court but also her commitment to excellence throughout her time as a Bobcat.
Her move to the Dublin Lions provides an opportunity to continue her basketball journey in Ireland, where the women’s game continues to grow and attract talented international players from across North America and Europe.
Throughout her career at Brandon University, Ingalls established herself as a cornerstone of the Bobcats program. Her consistent performances, defensive intensity, and ability to impact games on both ends of the floor made her one of the Canada West conference’s most respected players and an outstanding ambassador for Bobcats athletics.
