The organizers of the Run It Back Tournament have announced the return of the annual summer basketball showcase for its fourth edition, taking place August 14–16, 2028, at the Duckworth Centre in Winnipeg.
Building on the momentum of previous years, Run It Back 2026 will once again bring together some of Manitoba’s top basketball talent and community personalities for a weekend focused on elite competition, entertainment, and championship-level intensity.
The tournament will feature multiple divisions, including the Legends Division, All-Time Division, and Ladies Division, along with the return of the popular Target Score Ending format that has become a signature feature of the event.
Organizers say the tournament continues to evolve each year while maintaining the competitive atmosphere and community-driven energy that has helped establish Run It Back as one of the premier summer basketball events in Manitoba.
Championship teams will compete for cash prizes, custom championship belts, and provincial bragging rights as teams from across the region battle for the title.
Team registration is now officially open.
Registration fees include:
- Early Bird Registration: $900 per team before June 30
- Standard Registration: $1,100 per team
- Registration Deadline: July 20
The tournament is expected to attract a wide range of current and former players, including university, collegiate, club, and community basketball athletes from across Manitoba and beyond.
Run It Back has continued to grow annually by combining high-level basketball competition with an entertaining event atmosphere that celebrates the culture and passion surrounding the game in Manitoba.
