Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute has announced the launch of the Red Gym Refresh Community Raffle, a fundraising initiative aimed at revitalizing the MBCI Red Gym, a long-standing and heavily used athletic space serving both the school and the broader Manitoba sport community.
For decades, the Red Gym has supported school programming and community sport, hosting more than 2,500 hours annually of practices, competitions, physical education classes, and community rentals. The facility has welcomed youth programs, clubs, leagues, and athletes from across the province, playing a meaningful role in Manitoba’s grassroots and development sport system.
The Red Gym Refresh Community Raffle will run from February 9 to March 25 and is open to Manitoba residents aged 18 and older. Tickets are available at a rate of one for $20 or three for $50. The raffle features ten prize packages, including family experiences, home and garden packages, local experiences, and an Active Adventure and Red Gym Rental Package, as outlined in the attached poster
All proceeds from the raffle will be directed toward facility improvements to ensure the Red Gym remains a safe, accessible, and high-quality space for athletes and community groups for years to come.
