Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced the launch of its 2026 WMBA Winter Skills Development Program, running from January 10 to March 8, 2026, on Saturdays and Sundays. Registration is now open.
The program features a progressive skills curriculum designed specifically for WMBA athletes and is delivered by Manitoba’s top skill coaches alongside current university athletes. Sessions emphasize skill development, decision-making, and game play in a structured and age-appropriate environment.
A free WMBA skills session will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, for players aged 13 to 17. All sessions are currently open, with limited spots available.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Duration: 9 weeks
- Session Format: 1 hour of skill development and play
- Days: Saturdays and Sundays
- Locations: Lindenwoods Community Centre, Salisbury School, Sport Manitoba
- Group Size: 20 athletes per group
Every effort will be made to place families at the closest gym location. Age groups and locations may be merged based on registration numbers.
FEES AND REGISTRATION
- $95 for currently registered WMBA players
- $125 for non-WMBA players
- All registration is completed through RAMP

Saturdays
- 13–14 Girls: 9:00 am – 10:00 am
- 14–15 Boys: 10:00 am – 11:00 am
- 15–17 Girls: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
- 16–17 Boys: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Sundays
- 6–8 Girls: 9:00 am – 10:00 am
- 6–8 Boys: 10:00 am – 11:00 am
- 9–10 Girls: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
- 11–12 Girls: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
- 9–10 Boys: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
- 11–12 Boys: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
- 13 Boys: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Some younger age groups may be combined into co-ed sessions depending on registration numbers.
