Winnipeg Sea Bears has announced that the club has agreed to terms with three-time Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) Most Valuable Player Xavier Moon for the 2026 season.

Moon, a 6-foot-2 point guard out of Morehead State, brings elite scoring, high-level playmaking, and extensive professional experience across the CEBL, international leagues, and the NBA. Born January 2, 1995, in Goodwater, Alabama, Moon has established himself as one of the most accomplished players in league history.

Moon began his collegiate career at Northwest Florida State College, where he helped lead the program to a National Junior College Championship. He later transferred to Morehead State, playing two seasons and averaging 16.0 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.4 rebounds during his senior year, earning First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honours.

“I believe adding Xavier to our organization brings tremendous value both on and off the court,” said Winnipeg Sea Bears Head Coach and General Manager Mike Raimbault. “He’s a proven winner and someone who has shown he can excel in this league and at the NBA level. He’s a true professional who understands the importance of our community and our fans, and we’re confident the impact he makes off the court will be just as significant as what he brings on it.”

Moon’s professional resume includes multiple seasons overseas, time in North American professional leagues, and sustained excellence in the CEBL. In 2021, he averaged a league-leading 23.1 points per game, earning his third consecutive CEBL Player of the Year award and All-CEBL First Team recognition. That season also featured a 39-point performance, which stood as the league’s single-game scoring record at the time.

Season tickets for the 2026 Winnipeg Sea Bears season are now on sale, starting at $27 per game. Tickets can be purchased online at www.seabears.ca/season-tickets-2026.
