Zaagi’idiwin Sport Performance has announced the return of its Free Indigenous Basketball Camp, taking place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre. The one-day event will once again focus on creating an inclusive, welcoming basketball experience for Indigenous youth and their families.

The camp will offer three age-based sessions, providing a fun and supportive environment for players to develop foundational skills, build confidence, and connect with the basketball community.

Session details:

  • Session 1 (ages 5–9): 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm
  • Session 2 (ages 10–13): 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Session 3 (ages 14–18): 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Alongside the athletic programming, the initiative will collect non-perishable food items and winter clothing to support relatives facing challenges during the winter months.

Zaagi’idiwin Sport Performance is also welcoming sponsors who wish to contribute to the continued growth and accessibility of Indigenous sport programming. Those interested in supporting the event can contact the group at zaagiidiwin@outlook.com.
