Peg City Basketball has announced that team registration is now open for the Peg City Club Basketball League (CBL).

The Peg City CBL provides a premier competitive environment for middle school players (10U–13U) to develop their skills and prepare for advanced levels of play. Athletes must successfully try out and make a competitive club team to participate, with open tryouts typically beginning in mid-August.

For clubs, the CBL offers a structured platform with weekly competition against other independent club teams. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 14 games (12 regular season, 2 playoff). Standings determine playoff seeding for the championship tournament, ensuring a fair and competitive progression.

  • 11U (born 2014 or later)
  • 12U (born 2013 or later)
  • 13U (born 2012 or later)

Registration

  • Teams are registered by club administrators in the RAMP system.

  • Parents receive a team invite and must register their players in RAMP.

  • Only registered players are eligible to play.

  • Team registration fee for 2025: $2,995. Payment options include online, cheque payable to Peg City Basketball, or e-transfer to registration@pegcityball.ca.

  • Player statistics (PTS, REB, AST)

Important Dates

  • Registration Deadline: Friday, September 12, 2025

  • Regular Season: October 12, 2025 – February 22, 2026

    • 2025: games may be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays

    • 2026: Saturdays (10U–11U), Sundays (12U–13U)

    • No games on Showcase or holiday weekends

  • Playoffs: March 8 – March 22, 2026

Responsibilities
Peg City will maintain a safe playing environment. Clubs are responsible for ensuring their coaches meet the following requirements:

  • Respect in Sport certification

  • Child Abuse Registry Check

  • Criminal Record Check

Club Summit
The annual Club Summit provides an opportunity for open dialogue between the league and club organizers to evaluate the past season and plan for the next. Date to be announced following the championship games.
