Mini Ballers has announced details for its Fall 2025 program, offering basketball development opportunities for preschool and school-aged children across Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie. Families are encouraged to register now, as classes are filling quickly.
The program provides weekly skill-based sessions, with offerings available at multiple community centres and schools. If a class is full, families are encouraged to join the waitlist, as spaces may open.
Fall 2025 Mini Ballers Schedule:
- Tuesdays – Linden Woods CC, Sept. 9 – Nov. 25 (no class Sept. 30 & Nov. 11)
- Wednesdays – Norberry Glenlee CC, Sept. 10 – Nov. 12
- Thursdays – Linden Woods CC, Sept. 11 – Nov. 13
- Saturdays – Westdale, East Elmwood, École Templeton, Sept. 13 – Nov. 22 (no class Oct. 11)
- Sundays – Glenwood, Oxford Heights, SWCC Richmond, RRC Polytech (Portage), Sept. 14 – Nov. 23 (no class Oct. 12)
No sessions will be held Thanksgiving weekend (Oct. 11–12).
Returning for a second year, Mini Ballers will once again be hosted in St. Vital, with preschool openings still available at Norberry Glenlee.
Volunteer opportunities are also available. All volunteers must be Respect in Sport certified and complete a brief virtual interview. Volunteers typically assist with two classes per week and are expected to attend at least 75% of sessions. Those interested can email info@miniballers.ca
School Age Offerings:
Fundamentals (Ages 5–8) and 3x3 (Ages 6–8) sessions are scheduled weekly across various community sites including Norberry Glenlee, Linden Woods, Westdale, East Elmwood, École Templeton, Glenwood, SWCC Richmond, Oxford Heights, and RRC Polytech.
