The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced that registration is now open for the 2025 Fall/Winter Community League (ages 7–18) and the Jr. NBA Skills Development program (ages 5–12). Families are encouraged to register early to secure their preferred Community Centre and program placement, as spots are expected to fill quickly.
WMBA COMMUNITY LEAGUE – AGES 7–18
The WMBA Community League is a city-wide program where teams compete against others across Winnipeg. Teams are formed based on Community Centre catchment areas to keep participants playing close to home. If a Community Centre cannot host a team, players will be transferred to the nearest available centre.
The league follows a Fair Play and Zero Tolerance model to ensure that all young athletes enjoy a safe, positive, and fun basketball experience.
PROGRAM DETAILS
• Age 7–8 (Co-ed): 1 game per week (Saturdays), plus practice – 3v3 Cross Court Games
• Ages 9–10 Boys and Girls: 1 game per week (Saturdays), plus practice – 3v3 Cross Court Games
• Ages 11–12 Boys and Girls & 13 Boys: 1 game per week (Saturdays), plus practice – 5v5 Full Court Games
• Age 13 Girls & Ages 14–18 Boys and Girls: 1 game per week (Sundays), plus practice – 5v5 Full Court Games
FEES
• WMBA Membership Fee: $285
• Community Club Fee: average of $80
• Canada Basketball Membership Fee: $9

JR. NBA SKILLS DEVELOPMENT – AGES 5–12
The Jr. NBA Skills Development program is designed to introduce and build basketball fundamentals for young players through engaging sessions.
COST
• Ages 5–6: $160 (Parent-led sessions)
• Ages 7–12: $200 (Instructor-led sessions)
All programs include 8–10 one-hour sessions (varies by location).

• Saturdays, 9:00–10:00 a.m. – Linden Woods Community Centre (South)
