WMBA Playoffs Tip Off This Weekend, AGM Set for June 24, and 3x3 Summer League Filling Fast

The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) is heading into a high-energy finish to the season as playoff action tips off this weekend. Teams across all divisions will be competing in the pursuit of city-wide championships, with game schedules set for both Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to the on-court excitement, the WMBA will be hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, June 24, from 6:00 to 9:30 PM at the Sport Manitoba Hall of Fame Room (145 Pacific Ave.). This open-to-the-public meeting will provide updates on the state of the league, offer opportunities for feedback, and recognize individuals who have made a lasting impact on the WMBA community.

The evening will include the announcement of the 2024 Coach of the Year, new inductees into the WMBA Hall of Fame, and this year’s WMBA Scholarship recipients.
