The 2025-26 Canada West men’s and women’s basketball schedules are officially locked in, with the Brandon Bobcats, Manitoba Bisons, and Winnipeg Wesmen set to open the new season on Friday, October 24.

The 12-week regular season sees all 17 Canada West programs compete in a 20-game slate, wrapping up on February 7. The top seven Prairie Division and top five B.C. Division teams will then battle through a single-elimination playoff format starting February 13, leading to the Canada West Finals on February 27–28.

The Wesmen, Bobcats, and Bisons are aiming to make noise in what’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive Prairie Divisions in recent memory. The road to the U SPORTS National Championships runs through the Canada West Final Four weekend, with the top teams from each division colliding in the semi-finals (Feb. 20–21) before a champion is crowned.

On the women’s side, the U SPORTS Final 8 will be hosted by Laval in Québec City from March 5–8, while Calgary will host the men’s national championship from March 6–8.
