With Victoria taking the CW title in a high-energy final over Winnipeg 96-91, we now have our Top 3 Bracket Challenge finishers set. The Top 3 ended up with identical 25-point Final Scores, meaning we went to the Tie Breaker guess of the final CW Championship score. With the Vikes beating the Wesmen 96-91, the combined score was 187. With a guess of 175, Blaine takes the top prize by guessing the closest at 175. Kai will finish in second and Kris in 3rd. Congrats!

Welcome to the 2024 Canada West Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket Challenge
Welcome to the 240 people who submitted their Bracket Challenge picks to our system before the Wednesday 10:00 am deadline! We are excited to see the event start, and we hope you get out to catch the action in person at the Investors Group Athletic Centre!
One administrative note: Many people did not include a tiebreaker number to their "Prediction Title" next to their name when submitting their picks. Look for an email from Adam Wedlake from Basketball Manitoba on Wednesday asking you to reply with your championship game "Combined Score" number to help break a tie at the end if required.

From February 21-25, the University of Manitoba Bisons hosts the top 12 men's basketball teams in the Canada West Conference to compete for the championship title. Witness history at the largest single-elimination event in Canadian university basketball history, all hosted on one court.
Basketball Manitoba and Bison Sports invite you to join the Canada West Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket Challenge by submitting your picks for who you think will win the CW title!
Registering to join the bracket challenge is free and is open to any Canadian resident who wants to participate. The pool has a cap of 500 participants, so submit your picks now.

There is no cost to enter this pool.
POOL NAME
When entering your pool picks, please include your FULL NAME (first and last, no nicknames) in the "PREDICTION TITLE" field so we can properly identify you. VERY IMPORTANT: Please add a number next to your name when asked to complete the "Prediction Title" field (example: "John Smith 175"). Keep reading below about the tiebreaker format.
DEADLINE TO ENTER
The firm deadline to enter this pool is 10:00 AM Manitoba time on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. After this time, the pool will become locked, and no new entries or edits will be permitted to any selections.
PRIZES
The top 3 finishers in the pool will receive

Round Points for Correct Pick
Round 1 1 point per correct pick
Round 2 2 points per correct pick
Round 3 4 points per correct pick
Round 4 8 points per correct pick
TIEBREAKER
In the event of a tie in overall points at the end of the tournament, the top 3 winner(s) will be determined by using the combined score you will provide when submitting your bracket picks into the system. This number will be your guess of the COMBINED SCORE of the Championship final. For example, if the Championship final game score is 90-85, the combined score will be 175 points. The person with the tiebreaker number NEAREST to the combined score will win the tiebreaker. VERY IMPORTANT: Please add a number next to your name when asked to complete the "Prediction Title" field (example: "John Smith 175"). If you do not add a tiebreaker number next to your name and you are involved in a tie at the end, you won't be part of the tie-breaking process.
OTHER RULES
- Prizes are to be accepted as listed. No cash value or substitutions.
- Canada West, Bison Sports and Basketball Manitoba staff are eligible to enter the pool but are not eligible to win one of the prizes.
- You are limited to ONE (1) entry. Multiple entries are not allowed and you will be disqualified.
- This pool is intended for entertainment purposes only. Canada West, Bison Sports, and Basketball Manitoba do not condone gambling or sports betting in any form.
