Today on the Basketball Manitoba Podcast we have Keylyn Filewich

She is currently playing her first year as a professional basketball player in Germany for the Astroladies Basketball Club.  

She graduated from Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg, won a provincial AAAA Championship, was a 2-time all Manitoban and was recognized as MHSAA Athlete of the Year.  

She played on the Manitoba provincial team for five years, winning a Gold medal in 2014. 

After high school, she was recruited to play at the University of British Columbia, where she was named to the Canada West All-Rookie team, Canada West First Team All-Star 2 times, Canada West Player of the Year, USPORT 1st Team All-Star and was named the UBC Female Athlete of the Year.

She transferred back to her hometown for her last year, suiting up for the Winnipeg Wesmen, where they went all the way to the national final in 2022.  With the Wesmen, she was recognized as Canada West First Team All-Star, Canada West Player of the Year, and USPORT First Team All-Canadian and capped her collegiate career by being named the USPORT Player of the Year.
