With great sadness, the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame and Basketball Manitoba share the news of the untimely passing of Jacob Hall.  Jacob was born in Victoria, B.C. and was a city all-star at Esquimalt High School. He went on to play five years with the Brandon University Bobcats, was a starter in his last two years, and an Academic All-Canadian in 1998-99. Jacob was a member of the 1996 Brandon University Bobcats, CIAU/CIS National Champions that was inducted into the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 (pictured below, front row, left).

He passed away in Victoria after a 3-year battle with cancer.

He worked for 20 years as a teacher in Japan where he was married and is survived by three daughters, ages 14, 11 and 7.

Our sincere condolences go out to Jacob's family, friends, coaches, and teammates.
