The Brandon Bobcats men's basketball team has announced it will be hosting its 12th annual Holiday Hoops Classic, an event aimed at teaching local youth the fundamentals of basketball, and developing skills for players of all levels.

The session will be held on Sunday, December 19 from 10 am - 1:00 pm in the HLC Gymnasium and is aimed at boys and girls in grades 2-9.

The Camp is FREE to attend and we ask participants to bring an unused toy for the Brandon Christmas Cheer Registry or a monetary donation. All donations will go to Brandon families in need this holiday season.

The primary focus of the session for the younger age group is to introduce the fundamentals of the game and to teach proper footwork, shooting mechanics, ball-handling, passing and spacing. In the older age group, participants will develop 1-on-1 moves off the dribble and jab, ability to read and react off of screens, use the pick and roll, and play competitive scrimmages.

The event promises to be fun as well as develop basketball skills in both an individual and team setting.

Children aged 12 and up will be required to provide proof of double vaccination to attend and participate. All visitors to the HLC who meet vaccination age requirements need to show proof of vaccination status to enter the facility.

All participants are required to register in advance at the following link:
