Today on the Basketball Manitoba Podcast we have Kirby Schepp.

Kirby is the Head coach of the University of Manitoba Bisons a position he’s held for the last 12 seasons. During his time with the Bisons, they’ve made the postseason eight times, have had three Canada West Final Four appearances, and made the National Tournament for the first time since 1986.

Kirby has been part of the Canadian Men’s National Team program for over a decade. He coached the 17U Cadet team in 2010 that won a bronze medal at World Championships. Additionally, he won a gold medal with the Junior National team in 2017 and won a silver medal at the commonwealth games in 2018. 

Kirby has coached high school and club teams for over 15 years as well as serving as an assistant at the University of Winnipeg for five years. Additionally, he's coached provincial teams with Basketball Manitoba.

He is a University of Winnipeg graduate where he played for the Wesmen.  Kirby has a Master’s Degree in Coaching from the University of Victoria. He is an NCCP Master Learning facilitator and has trained hundreds of coaches over the past 20 years.
