Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Riya Donnelly of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been named a recent recipient of the Sport Manitoba 'Women to Watch' athlete grant! Riya has been active in basketball for 7 years now and is a member of the Targeted Athlete Program and is entering grade 12 this fall at Oak Park High School. The honour roll student maintains a grade level of 95% and was the recipient of the Oak Park Junior Varsity Athlete of the Year Award in 2020.
Outside of her own basketball development, she is the head coach with the Westdale Junior High Girls Basketball Team. After grade 12, she has a goal to play basketball at the next level while pursuing a law degree.
