On Thursday, April 22 at 7:00PM CST Sport Manitoba Coaching is partnering with the Black Canadian Coaches Association (BCCA) for a National Town Hall panel discussion about Black, non-binary, female, and other underrepresented coaches in Canada. Attached is the registration information.   We are hoping that you would be able to share this with your membership. We invite you and your staff to attend as well. The event is free and attendees can receive 1 PD point for attending.

Join the Black Canadian Coaches Association (BCCA) and the Coaches Association of Ontario (CAO) for this series of interactive panel sessions about BIPOC and underrepresented coaches in Ontario.

Panelists include:

  • Olympic Gold medal winning coach Steve Anderson (Volleyball)
  • Team Ontario Gold medal winning coach Christa Eniojukan (Basketball)
  • McMaster Marauders offensive coordinator Corey Grant (Football).
  • Ryerson Men's Basketball Assistant Coach Aprille Deus (Basketball)

These interactive, facilitated discussions will give coaches a chance to dialogue with the BCCA and CAO and find out how we are working together to level the playing field and create opportunities for BIPOC and other underrepresented coaches in Ontario. Panelists will discuss BIPOC, female and non-binary representation and how sport is made better for everyone when we come together to take a stand against discrimination in all its forms.
