Ranked the number one female player in the province coming out of Sisler High School, Kerri Kuzbyt continued her success when she went on to play five years for the University of Winnipeg. During her time with the Wesmen, Kerri earned the starting position in her Rookie year, which eventually led her to be named the University’s Female Rookie of the Year. She was a three-year co-captain, and in her fifth and final year, she won the Canada West regular-season title and ended her CIS/USport career with a Canada-West Bronze medal. While succeeding on the court, Kerri also maintained an Academic All-Canadian status for the entirety of her degree. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education.

Kerri further prolonged her career when she took her game overseas professionally to Australia and Spain before finding her home in Germany’s 2nd Bundesliga for two years. In her first year, Kerri finished sixth in the league in points per game (13.1) and second, in three-pointers made (31 in 15 games), all while leading her club to a league-leading 14-2 record, and eventually the league title. Although her final season was cut short due to the Pandemic, Kerri was excited to start her next greatest chapter; helping the next generation of females wanting to play at the highest level and live out their dream as she did.

Since finishing her playing career in 2021, Kerri has headed up the female player development program at Atlas Basketball. But she also has given back to the game at the community, club, and high school levels and been a part of Wesmen Summer Basketball camps and High-Performance Camps.

Kerri has been involved with the Manitoba Provincial Team on several occasions. From 2008 to 2011, she played and represented the province as an athlete. In 2014, Kerri was the assistant coach for the 17U Female Provincial Team that won a gold medal. She was also the assistant coach for the 17U Female Manitoba Provincial Team in 2018.
