The annual Bison Transport Sport LeadHERship Series is designed to empower and inspire women to become leaders in sport, community and life. It’s a professional development opportunity designed for coaches, administrators, community leaders, and volunteers of all genders, from all sports, from across Manitoba.

When: Wednesday, November 25th, 2020

Where: Online

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 it will be a FREE five-part online series that brings together inspirational leaders from all areas of sport to tell their personal and professional stories, offer valuable advice and guidance, and share practical tips that participants can use on and off the field of play. Hosted by media personality Leah Hextall, participants will be able to build their networks and knowledge bases through a variety of interviews and presentations so they can empower and encourage the girls they work with to stay active and involved in sport.

Sport Manitoba in partnership with Bison Transport, aspire to increase female engagement in sport by providing an informative, inclusive, and inspirational experience.

Please note that registration is required for each session.

The first session will be Wednesday, November 25 at 7 p.m.

Session #1: Female Coaches Path to Success

Join us for this free seminar as the University of Manitoba’s Vanessa Martinez Lagunas (Head Coach, Women’s Soccer) and Bruna Mavignier (Assistant Coach & Strength and Conditioning Coach) discuss their quest to become high-performance coaches and highlight why sport needs more female role models.

Also participating in this session will be Allison Sandmeyer-Graves, CEO, Canadian Women & Sport, Susan Lamboo, Coaching Manager with Sport Manitoba, and a representative from our title sponsor Bison Transport. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from these leaders, ask them questions, and join a post-event Zoom networking session.
