THIS WEEKEND: University of Manitoba Bison Alumni and current member of the Saskatchewan Rattlers CEBL pro basketball team, Rashawn Browne has announced he will be offering a basketball skills camp on August 28-30 at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre gyms.  Guest coaches include Eric Sung and Montana Kinzel.

Rashawn started his career at New Mexico State University, a Division 1 school and finished his career with the University of Manitoba Bisons. He recently played professionally with the Saskatchewan Rattlers in the CEBL Summer Series in Ontario and plans to continue his professional career overseas.

He has taken all precautions and will have finished his quarantine period a week before this camp starts. The total cost of the camp is $95 per player and will focus on developing the following skills: dribbling, footwork, shooting and finishing at the rim. See below for more camp details.



AGE SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST 28-30 AT SPORT MANITOBA: 
  • Ages 8-11: Friday 4pm-5:30pm; Saturday & Sunday 9am-10:30am
  • Ages 12-14: Friday 5:30pm-7pm; Saturday & Sunday 10:30am-12pm
  • Ages 15-17+ Group 1: Friday 7pm-8:30pm; Saturday & Sunday 12pm-1:30pm
  • Ages 15-17+ Group 2: Friday 8:30pm-10pm; Saturday & Sunday 1:30pm-3pm

Please note that the above basketball program has been approved by Basketball Manitoba as part of the Return to Basketball Plans that were announced on July 3, 2020. The camp will be following the details showed in the plan and will be abiding by the Canada Basketball Phase 2 plans. All participants (players, coaches, volunteers and parents/caregivers) are expected to follow the new safety guidelines as detailed. More information can be found HERE
