    CAMP CANCELLED: Richter Scale Basketball Camps Offering Shooting & Skills Camp at Canada Games Centre in March for Ages 8-15

    CAMP CANCELLED: This camp has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus concerns and the directive given by the Basketball Manitoba Board of Directors.  You can contact the camp directors below with any further inquiries.


    Coach Grant Richter in partnership with the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced that he will be holding a number of Shooting & Skills player clinics at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre on the following dates: (date, time, gender and age range)

    1. Sun March 8 - 8:00 - 9:00am  (Boys 11-15) 
    2. Sat March 14 - 7:00 - 8:00pm ( Boys 8-11)
    3. Sat March 14 - 8:00- 9:00pm (Boys & Girls 11-15)
    4. Sun March 22 - 8:00 - 9:00am (Boys 11-15)
    5. Sat March 28 - 6:00 - 7:00pm (Boy's age 8 - 11)
    6. Sat March 28 - 7:00 - 8:00pm ( Boys & Girls 11-15)
    7. Sun March 29 - 8:00 - 9:00am  (Boys 11-15)
    8. Sun March 29 - 6:00 - 7:00pm (Boys 8-11)
    9. Sun March 29 - 7:00 - 8:00pm (Boys & Girls 11-15)

    Grant Richter has coached basketball in the province of Manitoba since 1983.  Grant has coached all levels including grassroots, Winnipeg Minor Basketball, Rising Stars League, Junior High, High School, College (MCAC), University (CIS), and professional (IBA).

    In the 1990s Grant served as an assistant coach with the University of Winnipeg Wesmen.  In 1996, Grant joined the Winnipeg Cyclone as an assistant coach and was promoted to head coach in 2000.  In his time with the Cyclone, Grant had the benefit of being mentored by legendary coach Bill Klucas and NBA legend Darryl Dawkins.

    Grant currently coaches his 11-12 Girls WMBA basketball team out of Oxford Heights Community Club.

    Grant's education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (Kinesiology) from the University of Winnipeg, and a Masters of Education degree (Sport Coaching) from the University of Victoria.  Grant has also completed his NCCP level 4 at the National coaching institute in Winnipeg
