Coming from Brandon, many people from this area may not recognize her name, but if you know AAA girls basketball, then you know who she is. Trinity Blair just finished leading the Neelin Spartans to the AAA provincial championship, where she landed player of the game acknowledgements in 2 of 3 tournament games, and provincial All-Star status. She has been well recognized this season for her outstanding abilities, which is seen most recently in her A/AA/AAA All-Manitoba First Team selection. Trinity averaged 17.6 points per game in her grade 12 year at Neelin, along with 6.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Her next challenge will come as a member of the 2019 NIAC champions, who look to repeat the success of last season. Her first college game will be against the CMU Blazers on October 16th in pre-season competition

“The addition of Trinity Blair is enormous for our program. I think we have done a good job of adding quality people who fit our core values, and Trinity is an excellent example of what we are looking for. I never expect first-year players to be game changers, but I think Trinity has the potential to grow into a special player. We are thrilled to add a player who can jump onto the court and make an immediate impact. Trinity understands the game and seems to be a quick learner. I think there is something to, adding people to your program who have experienced winning on their biggest stage. They have been through a different set of challenges and overcome them to win. There can be a level of resilience that comes with success, and you hope that becomes contagious. I am excited for the opportunity to coach Trinity and for her to fly with us this season!” - Joel Coursey

“I am super pumped and grateful for the opportunity to play for Providence. I’m excited to be playing at a higher level with a new team and coach, and I’m ready to work my butt off. My favorite verse is John 16:33, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” - Trinity Blair
